Alumni loyalty discount for 2025/26 Dear {{studname}}, We are pleased to confirm that as a Manchester Met graduate, you may be eligible to receive an alumni loyalty discount worth up to 20% for the 2025/26 academic year. You will receive a discount on your tuition fees if you: Are a graduate who has successfully completed a Manchester Metropolitan University undergraduate/postgraduate taught degree (excluding HND), foundation degree, PGCE or graduate diploma in law. Are studying an eligible postgraduate taught course. Meet the alumni loyalty discount terms and conditions. How much will I get? If you started your course in September 2022 or later, you'll get a 20% discount. If you started your course before September 2022, you'll get a 10% discount. Please refer to our website for course eligibility and full terms and conditions. If your discount has not been applied to your invoice, please email studentbillings@mmu.ac.uk. Postgraduate taught degrees are classed as full masters e.g. MA, MSc, LLM. Students progressing from an MA to an MFA in the same subject will not be eligible for this discount. If you are paying part of your fees alongside your external sponsor, the discount will be applied pro-rated. However, in the case whereby fees are payable by both the student and an eligible external sponsor, e.g. an employer, the external sponsor can choose to waive their eligibility for an alumni discount. If this is the case, the external sponsor should email studentbillings@mmu.ac.uk to advise the University of their decision as soon as possible quoting your full name, course and identification number. The finance team will then allocate the full alumni discount entitlement to your proportion of the fees for the duration of the course. The alumni discount is not applied to Recognition of Prior Learning credits or commercial contracts. The full discount amount will only apply if you complete the full academic year. If you withdraw or suspend (which results in a fee reduction) the value of the discount will be pro-rated in proportion to the fees charged. The full amount of the discount will only apply if you remain on an eligible course. If you transfer to a course which is not eligible for the discount, you will no longer receive the discount. If you have already paid your tuition fees in full, you can receive a refund of any overpayment by emailing refund@mmu.ac.uk. Please include your full name, student identification number ({{mmuid}}), your course title and the original payment method. If you are paying by instalment plan, the discount will be deducted from the total fee before the first payment. The remaining balance will then be divided into instalments. If you are eligible for more than one form of fee reduction (including discounts, awards or scholarships), you will only receive one fee reduction, which will be the greater of the two. All discounts are reviewed on an annual basis and may change in future years. If you commence a course of more than one academic year's duration, you will continue to receive a discount each year (in line with the scheme for the academic year in which you started your course), providing the course is completed in the original agreed timeframe, ie no breaks in study or repeated years.
